Solar Plexus Chakra

Solar Plexus Chakra also known as the Naval Chakra because it’s located at the naval. The 3rd Chakra.  This fiery chakra focuses on personal power, sense of self and of self worth! Solar Plexus is associated with stress. Keeping this chakra balanced is important. When it’s power is awakened, we feel fearless and any obstacles in our path is burned away! Practical ways to balance this chakra is to laugh, watch a fire, work out, eat yellow foods or wear the color yellow. I personally love lighting my home up with sunflowers. Element of fire. The sun, our inner fire and spirit. It’s hard now a days with our society today to experience these inner meanings as truths to our lives. I have trouble with it. I’m learning to love myself more, to find that inner fire and self worth. That’s why I’m reading, learning and sharing with you all this journey of bettering myself. I want you to better yourself as well!

Lets Talk Chakra

Chakra is a center of energy, a vortex of spinning energy. We have 7 main chakras. Each help to regulate all it’s processes, from organ function to immune system to emotions! They are positioned through out your body from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. Each one having their own unique energetic signature and vibration.

Each Chakra have their own corresponding organs, color, spiritual theme, gemstones, FOOD and more.  That’s how all of this ties in with my food blog. Food is everything! I will get more detailed with each chakra as I share a recipe pertaining to each one. Let’s get connected and bring out our inner Goddess!

Beet your Root Chakra

What better way to awaken your Root Chakra than the root vegetable itself, beets. Beets aren’t the most favorable veggie. But are very beneficial. High in many nutrients and minerals, natural aphrodisiac, cleanses the body, energy booster and much more! I stumbled upon this smoothie recipe and thought I give it a try. With a few tweaks (it called for cinnamon stick but I didn’t like the flavor), this is a warm and earthy smoothie. This can also be enjoyed cold too.

This also have Maca Powder in it which is a super food! Maca increases stamina, boost libido and fights fatigue.

  1. Pour two cups of boiled water over rose petals. Let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. While the tea steeps add can of unsweetened full fat coconut milk to a pot with two tablespoons of raw honey and ½ a tablespoon of Maca powder.
  3. Strain rose tea and add to the pot. Bring the contents of the pot to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes.
