So umm yea, if you don’t know what brown butter is or never had it? You’re so behind! Stumbled upon this recipe from DivasCanCook.com Instead of using regular melted butter I used brown butter! Brown butter is melted butter that’s just cooked longer and it browns. It smells and tastes really good. Add some brown butter to your life!!!
These gooey chocolaty blondies are delicious! To make them even better, they have crushed up Oreos in them. If you’re not a fan of Oreos you could used any of your favorite cookie or even candy bar! Sky is the limit with these blondies.
Who cares that it’s 10 degrees outside?! Pull out the gelato and slap it on top of this warm brown butter Oreo blondie! Or do what I did and drizzle some melted chocolate on it or! go big and do both!
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 12 tbsp brown butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed oreos
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare baking pan, I used a 8 inch pan.
- Whisk together flour, salt & baking soda. Set aside.
- Melt and brown butter. Combine brown and granulated sugar with brown butter. Mix in egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Mix real good.
- Dump in flour mixture with wet ingredients. Combine well.
- Fold in both chocolate chips and Oreos.
- Plop in mixture in baking pan, press mixture evenly in pan.
- Top with a few more chips and Oreos and bake for 25 minutes!
