If you all didn’t know, I’m half German. So yes, I love German food! My all time favorite is German Schnitzel. There aren’t any places around here that serve German food so I took it my own responsibility to change that. I fried up these bad boys today with some fries and a small salad. I was beyond happy and satisfied! So I’m going to share the yum!
German Schnitzel
Ingredients
- 5 thin boneless chicken cutlets
- 2 cups flour
- 1tsp salt
- 1tsp pepper
- 2 eggs, slight beaten
- 1 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cups oil
- 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Create your dredging station. Mix the flour, salt and pepper. Beat your eggs and your breadcrumbs. Beat your chicken 1/8 inch thin.
- Heat your oil to about 325 degrees. Dip your chicken in the flour, egg and breadcrumbs then right in the oil.
- Cook 2-3 minutes each side. Drain on paper towel.
- Top with fresh lemon and parsley, enjoy!
