With all the bulls#!t going on in the world today along with managing bills, putting food on the table, going to work, going to school, taking care of kids, holiday season is among us, wondering when the next season of Stranger Things comes out (its driving me nuts!). I mean I could go on and on. We all have day to day duties we must take care of! We all have worries, big or small. With all of that going on, we must remain sane and protect our peace. How so? These are a few things I do to clear my mind and protect my peace:
∙Set your phone down! I try to put my phone away and on vibrate or DND for at least a hour a day.
∙Read a book or something fundamental, try a puzzle. Keeping your brain positively active is always good.
∙Lighting candles + burning sage with soothing music.
∙Writing. I jot down my frustrations to ball up and throw away or my future plans and goals.
∙Cooking. Even though I do this a lot, I always feel calm.
∙A tall glass of wine, cheers!
∙Meditation. Sitting in silence breathing through your nose exhaling through mouth thinking of positive affirmations for 5-10 minutes a day.
∙Hobbies. After handling a long day or week of adult duties, taking time to enjoy your hobby can be relaxing.
∙A trip to the beach or farmers market
∙Being around friends and family
∙Isolation. Finding time to hang by yourself is so essential!
Life is life and it gives you what you can handle, remember that. Always keep faith and know you’re not alone. 2018 been one hell of a year that tried to take most of us out and its not over yet! Let these last 3 months be less stressful by having faith and taking time to keep our peace by doing something we love. Comment below and let me know what you do to keep your peace.
