No Knead Herb Garlic Bread

Bread been one of the “pandemic items” to go fast. Well don’t worry. Using your pantry basics you can make some fresh baked bread at home. Super EASY to do! All its takes is a little patience to let it rise for 12 hours. So this is a perfect day ahead recipe. Happy baking!

No Knead Herb Garlic Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp sage
  • 5 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a good size bowl combine flour, yeast, salt, herbs and garlic. Then pour in water and oil. Use a dough hook on your mixer OR use a wooden spoon to combine everything.
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel. Let sit in a warm spot for 12-16 hours.
  • Your dough should be doubled in size. Dust a clean surface with flour and dump your dough on it. Fold your dough over a few times and shape it into a ball . Cover with a kitchen cloth and let sit for 30 minutes to a hour.
  • Depending how fast your oven heats up. You can take your dutch oven with lid and heat it up in the oven at 500 degrees.
  • When your dutch oven is heated and your dough been sitting out for at least 30 minutes. Take a knife and make a slit across the dough. CAREFULLY brush your dutch oven with olive oil and plop your dough in. CAREFULLY put the lid on and place in your oven. Turn the temperature down to 425 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.
  • CAREFULLY take your lid off and place back in oven for 15 more minutes.
  • When done CAREFULLY remove bread and let it cool on a wired rack. Enjoy your freshly baked bread!

Notes

You can skip the herbs and garlic or use whatever herbs you have on hand. You can also use 1-2 tbsp of a dried italian seasoning blend as well.
