I always get a huge response when I post me browning chicken. Its literally what I do for just about about every chicken recipe because it looks good plus enhances and locks in flavor! So here I share this simple but satisfying recipe.

Simple Browned Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Thighs [bone in and skin on]
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Herbs [thyme rosemary]
- 6 Garlic Cloves smashed
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Garlic Seasoning
- Cast Iron or a Heavy Skillet
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Season your chicken liberally with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic seasoning on both sides.
- Heat your cast iron on medium high heat and add in your butter, olive oil, garlic and herbs. When your garlic and herbs start sizzling. Mix everything around to flavor that oil. Don’t burn herbs or garlic!
- Add your chicken in carefully SKIN SIDE down. Cook for about 5 minutes or until brown. Don’t move chicken, just let it brown. You can flip one to just see how the browning is going.
- Flip chicken over. Chicken should be nice and browned. Finish in your preheated oven and bake for 20-30 minutes.
- Skin should be crispy and the meat juicy and tender!
