I love traveling in the state where I live at because believe it or not other people fly in to check it out. Like when I was in North Carolina, I use to travel to different towns and see what they had to offer there. Now that Im in Florida, its so much outdoor activity Im itching to do besides the beach. On my list of stuff to check out was the Everglades. My best friend came in town to visit so this was the perfect time to go!
The trip was a 1 hour drive from Miami and the first time we went, we got turned around because a storm was coming! We came back the next day early morning to avoid any storms. Its storm season right now and usually evenings are a mess!
I was too hype for this. The ride was so much fun going fast. Also our airboat driver was Tokyo drifting the boat! We saw a turtle and a big ass bird. There was one alligator that was chillin near where we left from but didn’t see any out there. I learned in the “winter months” out here you will see a lot of alligators because right now its too hot and the water is too chilly for them. Also learned how to survive the Everglades if I ever get stranded (anything is possible). The tall grass out there provides fresh water, plus there is apple trees that grow out there and they taste like cantaloupe.
After the boat tour you got to walk around the swampy area and maybe come across some animals. Plus they had a few alligators locked up to showcase us, which I kind of felt bad for but you can tell they take great care of them (I still wanted to free them tho).
I recommend everyone to try out one of the many airboat rides to the Everglades if you’re ever in Florida. Its a different fun experience you won’t get anywhere else! Check out my YouTube channel to see videos and pictures. Now get off your butt and go explore!
