Fayetteville Pie Co.

I’ve always said simple is the best way and Fayetteville Pie Company obviously agrees to that too. I recently visited this place when I came to Fayetteville, NC to visit my family.

As soon as you walk in, you can smell freshly baked goods! Not to mention the decor gives you a clean homely vibe (you got to see it for yourself). Their concept is putting magical ingredients in delicate flakey pie crust! You can chose from 3 different styles of pie (their menu changes) in 2 categories, Savory or Sweet. Simple but affective, right? Even tho it’s hard to choose which pie you want!

I got the ‘Deep South Dish’. Their fresh homemade pie crust filled with BBQ Chicken, creamy Mac n Cheese and Collard Greens! Topped with a gooey layer of cheese baked to perfection! I over indulged and got the ‘Berry Beloved’! Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries combined in perfect harmony. Safe to say today’s lunch will never be forgotten and I can not wait to come back. Make sure to check them out!

P.S. I heard they are opening another spot so be sure to follow them @FayPieCo on Instagram to stay updated!

Shoutout to Tajin!

Today we are shouting out to Tajin Seasoning. It’s a zesty seasoning sure to spice up anything, especially fruit. Sounds weird to season your fruit but trust me on this. You’ll love it! I never really had it on anything else but fruit. I would say this seasoning would pair well with chicken or shrimp. Especially shrimp, slap em in a tortilla with a creamy slaw!

Shoutout to Speculoos!

So if you don’t know what speculoo is, then you don’t know cookie butter! Let me explain what this stuff is. It’s a freakin’ jar full of creaminess heaven! It’s Belgium cookies that are crushed up to a fine powder and mixed with a few other ingredients to make it smooth and creamy. It has a slight gingerbread taste but not so much of a gingerbread taste, if that makes sense. You can spread this on anything, make yummy cookie butter cookies (recipe below) or eat it straight out the jar like I do. The crunchy cookie butter is my fav straight out the jar snack right now. I believe Trader Joes is the only place you can purchase this at and seeing that the nearest one is 30 minutes away, I always keep a jar in my cabinet for those sudden sweet cravings. Now go get you a jar or two!
