Fayetteville Pie Co.

I’ve always said simple is the best way and Fayetteville Pie Company obviously agrees to that too. I recently visited this place when I came to Fayetteville, NC to visit my family.

As soon as you walk in, you can smell freshly baked goods! Not to mention the decor gives you a clean homely vibe (you got to see it for yourself). Their concept is putting magical ingredients in delicate flakey pie crust! You can chose from 3 different styles of pie (their menu changes) in 2 categories, Savory or Sweet. Simple but affective, right? Even tho it’s hard to choose which pie you want!

I got the ‘Deep South Dish’. Their fresh homemade pie crust filled with BBQ Chicken, creamy Mac n Cheese and Collard Greens! Topped with a gooey layer of cheese baked to perfection! I over indulged and got the ‘Berry Beloved’! Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries combined in perfect harmony. Safe to say today’s lunch will never be forgotten and I can not wait to come back. Make sure to check them out!

P.S. I heard they are opening another spot so be sure to follow them @FayPieCo on Instagram to stay updated!

Cheap Miami Beach Eats

It’s the season of travel! I’m currently on a plane right now as I type this. Coming back from Miami! The weather was so perfect and the food was great! I didn’t get to hit those exclusive or known local spots. But I did indulge in some quick good food plus I had a kitchen so I got to cook. We all know eating on Ocean Blvd. is expensive as hell for mediocre food! So I’m gonna share some fun food spots under $10. I didn’t get pictures because I was tipsy 90% of the trip living in the moment. But here goes the list for good cheap eats at Miami Beach:

-Taco Rico; their tacos are authentic and bomb! Try their frozen margarita.
-Block Pizza Deli; this was a funky pizza place with fresh toppings!
-Sriracha House; best asian fushion take out! Went twice and wasn’t disappointed!
-Five Guys; look I know this isn’t a “new spot” BUT I was drunk after the club and wanted fries. I discovered their Veggie Sandwich!? Thank me later!
-D’Vine; basic little outside breakfast spot.

Lincoln Road Mall hosts a Sunday market with fresh veggie and fruit. They also cut up fresh mango, papaya, pineapple and watermelon in front of you and serve them in cups.

Memorial Weekend Eats

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Weekend! This is the unofficial start of summer! Even tho I didn’t see many cookouts which was odd. But I traveled out of town to Maryland, where I had a good ole time. I searched a few local good eats and here is what I indulged in.

I stopped at Iron Rooster located in Baltimore. It’s like a breakfast brunch spot. You can even come for dinner but breakfast is served all day! I got the BLT&E which was pork belly, crisp lettuce, fried green tomato, sunny side up egg with a garlic aioli all between a buttery brioche bun! My boo got the biscuits and gravy. He was trying to compare mine with theirs. (Mine is better of course) Everything about our food was delicious! I ate everything on my plate including their home fries! If you go here, check in with their social media. You get free crispy bacon! I had to try their homemade pop tart too. I got it to go so they didn’t heat cause they thought I would. I didn’t know I was eating anyways! So they heated it for me lol!

I also got to try out Mason’s Lobster Roll. I have indulge in lobster rolls before and they were alright. But let me tell you about Mason’s? Sooooo good! This was the real deal! So good we went back for seconds! We tried the classic roll, lobster salad roll and the lobster blt roll. Which were all good but the classic takes the cake! I can’t wait to go back up here and pig out on lobster rolls!
