This is my new favorite pasta! I made this 3 times and cant get enough. I wanted to try a pesto pasta but it was bit too bland so I played around with ingredients and came up with this. The sauce is what makes this pasta and its damn good! You can use salmon, chicken, shrimp or whatever protein you desire.
A Really Good Pasta!
Ingredients
- 2 small salmon filets or 1 large salmon filet
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp green goddess seasoning
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp pesto
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tbsp truffle hot sauce
- 1/4 cup parmesan or Italian blend shredded cheese
- 2-3 handfuls of spinach
- 1/2 box of cavatappi pasta cooked
Instructions
- Season you salmon with your cajun and GG seasoning. Add 1 tbsp butter to a medium-high hot skillet and brown your salmon. Set Salmon aside once finished cooking about 5-7 minutes.
- Wipe your pan with a clean paper towel and clean majority salmon bits and oil out pan.
- Add 1 tbsp butter and garlic paste. Mix and cook 1-2 minutes stirring.
- Pour in your heavy cream and add your pesto, dijon mustard and truffle hot sauce. Mix well. Taste for seasoning, sometimes I add a pinch of salt and another scoop of pesto or dash of truffle hot sauce.
- Let your sauce simmer on low for 3 minutes then add in your cheese and mix. Turn heat on low and add in your paste plus spinach. Mix until spinach is wilted.
- Add your salmon back in and break it into chunks, gently mix into pasta and enjoy
Notes
Any kind of protein like chicken or shrimp would go great with this!
