Retrograde! Retrogrades! Rx!

You might of heard “Mercury is retrograding!” with a voice of concern. Probably never heard of it or knew about it. If you didn’t, I’m sure you’ve felt these affects and didn’t know why?! Mercury isn’t the only planet that Retrogrades but it’s the planet most known and retrogrades the most in one year. Let’s get into these Rx!
Venus Retrograde

March 4 to April 15, 2017
October 5 to November 16, 2018

We are currently still in Venus Retrograde. The ruler of Beauty and planet of love and values. You’ll be questioning your relationship(s). Wether your in a relationship with a lover or just a friendship, you’ll be evaluating them. Past lovers and friends may appear. Getting any type of surgery should be avoided. No new hair dos or wardrobe. Hold off on big purchases. A good time to start a budget.

Mercury Retrograde

April 9 to May 3, 2017
August 12 to Sept 5, 2017
December 3 to December 22, 2017

This is a time to CHILL OUT! Don’t, I repeat DON’T make any important moves when Mercury is in retrograde. Why? The planet appears to be moving backwards but it’s not. The way it’s orbiting the Earth gives the illusion of slowing down and going backwards. Astrologically the planet is resting. (this goes for any planet in retrograde) So things won’t function normally than when the planet is awake.

Mercury rules all communication, travel & technology. So launching a new website or advertisement isn’t idea. Signing big contracts, purchasing electronics, having surgery, traveling & starting new endeavors are also some things you should avoid if you can.

Strange things can happen as well. Like misunderstandings that can lead to arguments. Reconnecting with old friends can be good. People from the past tend to reappear. Unexpected text from your ex can happen. Computers tend to crash. All to much right?

People are thinking much slower, even you during this time. Judgement is off. This is a time of “RE”. Re-thinking, re-organizing, re-doing, re-vamping, repeating yourself can be idea at this time too. Think of how things are going now. Consider Mercury retrograde as like a “review period”. This is a good time to complete unfinished business. Before starting new ones AFTER retrograde.

Quick Retrograde Tips:
Back up your computer or cell phone
Expect traffic or delays, so pack a book or catch up on some Netflix shows
Read all texts/email before you send
Get your vehicle tuned up or checked out
Expect people from your past to appear, including your ex
Don’t jump to conclusions if someone misunderstands you
Don’t make BIG decisions
Carry Black Tourmaline, one of my personal fav crystals
Relax, take it easy!

Everyone feels the affects of Mercury retrograde. So relax and take it easy. It will be over before you know it! Tell me how you survived or what happened to you during Mercury Retrograde in the comments!
**Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter will all be in retrograde this month! That’s a lot of retrograding. I don’t know too much about these other Rx as I’m still learning about them. Jupiter will be in retrograde February 7th – June 10th and this planet want us to find truth and deeper meaning to life. Saturn Rx April 6th – August 26th. Saturn wants us to responsible for the energy you put into the universe or be prepared for a rude awakening! Once I do more research with these Rxs I will share them with you!

Full Moon in Virgo

Happy Full Moon! This moon resides in Virgo and I’m a Virgo, so that’s why I decided to type something quick for y’all. This Full Moon is a focus on organizing/cleaning, detoxing and healing our digestive system. Sounds like spring cleaning to me! I’m going to share with you how I clean, detox and heal.

Clean! Organize! Clean!
I’m a Virgo and I can tell you that I got that organizing/cleaning trait. I don’t think it’s ever been a time a friend been over my home and caught it being messy. My “junk drawer” is even organized. I have slight OCD but hey, cleanliness is Godliness. But seriously. If your space is a mess, your mind is a mess too. That’s my philosophy. So I’m gonna give you some quick organizing tips.

1. Throw away or donate what you DONT need! Don’t end up on that hoarder show. Just L.I.G it! Let it go!
2. Buy some inexpensive storage bins or baskets to put in your closet or drawers for easy organizing and less clutter.
3. Put stuff back where it belongs. My mom got on me about this for years and it eventually embedded in me. Thanks Mama! But it’s let’s stress on your brain to find what you need instead of playing hide and seek with your scissors.
4. I personally hate seeing cords streaming everywhere. Neatly fold them up and wrap a rubber band around them.
5. Labeling. I personally have a labeling system in my mind. But it makes thing easy to find if your forgetful.
6. Pick a day to clean. Sunday or Monday usually my day of dusting, vacuuming, wiping down, scrubbing, etc. etc.
7. Planner. Having a planner is a great way to keep track of what you need to do. I take Sunday night to think about my week ahead.

Tune up your Mind and Body
Cleaning your body is just as important as cleaning your home/space. I’m not talking about just taking a shower (some might lack in that too so wash yo butt please) Most of us are busy and forget to cleanse ourselves and then just crash. So before you crash take some time out to cleanse your body.

1. Take a hot bath with some sea salt or steep some herbs and pour the liquids in the bath. Light some candles and turn on some tunes. Soak until you’re pruney or when the water gets cold.
2. Drink water! Water does the body soooooo good! Throw some lemons in there to really detox those insides. I keep a pitcher of fresh water with sliced lemons.
3. Do some yoga moves or stretch when you wake up.
4. Burn some sage or palo santo. I instantly relax when I smell these scents.
5. If you’re not into the sage get a oil diffuser. So many kind of essential oil concoctions to relax or stimulate your mind.
6. Balance. Work as much as you play. Take time to enjoy yourself but also get sh*t done!
7. Go outside and get some fresh air. Being in tuned with nature is apart of the balance.

Cook
Now that your home is clean and your body feeling all refreshed. Make you something to eat! Nothing more satisfying than a home cooked meal. Go to your farmers market or local grocery store. Pick up some fresh veggies and fruit. Make a quick easy baked chicken dish with rice and veggies. That’s my go to meal. Find a recipe in my recipes section and satisfy your stomach. Our gut is important. We make decisions with our “gut feeling”. Our stomach is our core, the solar plexus chakra. When you’re hungry, you can’t think straight. You’re angry or should I say “hangry”. When you eat you’re balanced, energized, happy. Eating well also plays a part with stress, attitudes, exhaustion, thinking. Eat a bunch of crap? You get a bunch of crap. Another philosophy of mine. Cooking isn’t hard or stressful. Get that out your mind and make you something delicious.

“It seems to me that our three basic needs, for food and security and love, are so mixed and mingled and entwined that we cannot straightly think of one without the others. So it happens that when I write of hunger, I am really writing about love and the hunger for it, and warmth and the love of it and the hunger for it… and then the warmth and richness and fine reality of hunger satisfied… and it is all one.”

“Is it a Full Moon out?”

Happy New Moon!

Some are prolly like “happy new moon? this a celebration?” Yes! A celebration of new beginnings, new intentions you’d like to create & develop and to make manifest. These are all things to celebrate. I’m going to share with you how I look at the moon and try to inform you. You might look at the Moon differently.

A new moon is the phase of the moon when it is in conjunction with the sun and invisible from earth, or shortly thereafter when it appears as a slender crescent. The moon go through different phases as it orbits the Earth. It’s eight phases but I’m going to talk about a few that I acknowledge for moon magic manifestation! New Moon, Waxing Moon/First Quarter, Full Moon, & Waning Moon/Last Quarter.

New Moon

Wonderful time to set new intentions, meet new people, travel far or near, let your creativity come out for new projects, getting more clarity in situations in your life. I like to write down any ideas, goals, dreams, wishes I have. Things I want to work on. I sit by my altar light some candles and meditate. Saying a affirmation like “I can, I will”.

Waxing Moon/First Quarter

Waxing Moon looks like a crescent. When you can finally see the brightness of the moon. Soak in that brightness. Use the brightness to lead the way to your new intentions you set with the New Moon.

First Quarter is when the moon is In a 90 degree angle with Earth and the Sun. Looking like a Half Moon. Half way to the Full Moon. Take this time to reflect on these new intentions you set at the New Moon. How are you treating these intentions? Are you taking small steps to achieve these goals? What do you need to do to take it there? Gather information, post little notes around the home to remind you what you need to accomplish. Let’s get it!

Full Moon

The Earth, Moon and sub are in total alignment. Just like the New Moon but on the opposite of Earth. So it’s nice and bright. You should be feeling strong energies around this time. This affects ocean tides, animals, plants and human behavior. We all know that “It must be a full moon out” saying. Take this time to heal yourself. Enjoy yourself. Pay attention to what you feel. If you feel something is blocking you from your good attentions. Find out what they are and release it.

Waning Moon/ Last Quarter

The Moon is getting ready to journey back to the New Moon. It’s all about getting things in order. Preparing for new intentions. Making sure you’re organized, planning, thinking. Did you achieve your goals, dreams or wishes? If you didn’t, what held you back? Get rid of that trait, person, object or whatever that thing is. Positive energy is key. Affirmation idea: “Let in positivity, let go of negativity” Take time to cleanse your home, work space and most importantly yourself. Take a salt bath, light some candles.

During these moon phases. I burn sage or palo santo depending what mood I’m in. I also drink herbal teas and take salt baths. Taking care of yourself is key! I also have a variety of crystals I set on my altar, along with a candle that I burn.

These are something’s I do and learned. I’m still learning, so bare with me. I believe everything on this Earth is here with purpose. We all have the sources to manifest. This is how I came up with my new logo. Manifesting new ideas and researching. Those Moons symbolize Goddess.

If you are clear with what you want, if you believe, have faith and most importantly love yourself. Great things to anything will come! I got this information from Google and Many Moons Workbook by Modern Women. Feel free to search and discover your own magic!
